Clubs / Preston North End

World Football Group is proud to be involved in English Football with Championship Club Preston North End FC. This direct link between World Football Group and Preston North End is an exclusive partnership where World Soccer Schools players have a pathway that leads overseas to an opportunity of playing football in England.

The link was formed in 2010 when Preston North End Chief Scout Jim McCluskie visited our Australian head office in Sydney. Jim observed the World Soccer Schools coaching Programs as well as the World Football Group Talent Identification Systems used when scouting players from within their contacts Australia wide. Jim McCluskie said "I was very impressed with the World Football Group Australian set up. Everything from their coaches, to the way the players trained, was exactly like the Academies and Centres of Excellence here in England. I have also worked with World Football Group International Player Representatives Nick Dimovski and Paul Bertolissio for the past 5 years. In that time P.N.E have signed a number of players into our junior academies and now those lads that they brought over are breaking through into the first team ."
Nick Dimovski said "Now that World Football Group is partnered up with a massive club in England, our best Australian players have a second home when they go abroad." Dimovski went onto say "The relationship is fantastic! The respect is immense and I cannot speak highly enough of the Preston North End coaching staff. Dean Ramsdale (Director of Youth), Nick Harrison (Assistant Director of Youth) and Chris Lucketti (Under 16's Coach) have been very professional and first class, and have always taken the time to analyse our lads when they’re over on trial” went onto say "The link between Preston North End and World Football Group is the way forward, and where Australian Academies need to be aiming towards."
